Western Civilization Fund is an independent American 501(c)(3) public charity. We identify, fund, and scale the European founders and institutions renewing our shared civilization: its faith, its families, its freedom, and its sovereign nations.
We give American donors a disciplined and accountable way to stand with those defending the West in Europe.
01Why we exist
One civilization, on both sides of the Atlantic.
America and Europe share one civilizational inheritance. It runs from Jerusalem, Athens, and Rome, through the Christian centuries and the English common law, to the American founding. Its Judeo-Christian heritage taught the world that every person holds rights from the Creator, that power must answer to law, and that free nations govern themselves.
Across Europe, that inheritance is under pressure: from speech codes and hostility to faith, to the decline of the family and the erosion of national self-government. What happens there bears directly on America.
Europe’s conservatives are our civilizational allies. They have the conviction, the talent, and a rising generation ready to lead. What they too often lack are the institutions to sustain their work and the early support to build them. Western Civilization Fund exists to close that gap.

Mission
To identify, fund, and scale the leaders building Europe’s conservative institutions: the founders, writers, educators, and organizers who defend free speech, faith, family, sovereign nations, and free enterprise.
Vision
A free and sovereign Europe, confident in its Judeo-Christian heritage, prosperous through free enterprise, and united with America in one civilization.
03What we do
Scout, seed, and scale.
We bring the discipline of venture capital to civic life. We find capable founders early, back them with focused grants, and stand behind those who prove themselves as their work grows.

Through our Advisory Board and our networks across Europe, we identify promising founders at the outset of their work.

Seed
We make focused first grants with clear milestones in eight areas, from independent media and think tanks to faith, culture, youth leadership, legal defense, free enterprise, and technology. We decide quickly so that good work can begin.

Scale
We measure results, renew support for what works, and help proven organizations grow in reach and strength.

How we work.

Independent of party and government
Our work is charitable and educational, and our judgments are our own. We are independent of every political party and every government. We do not support or oppose any party or candidate, and we take no part in elections.

We back founders of character and conviction who have a clear plan, and we hold them to it.

Institutions, not moments
We fund organizations built to serve for decades, not short-lived campaigns.

European leadership
Our grantees know their nations, languages, and cultures. We give them the means to lead.

Western Civilization Fund is an independent American 501(c)(3) public charity.
Board of Directors
An independent Board of Directors and the fund’s leadership set its direction, oversee its finances, and decide every grant.
Advisory Board
Senior leaders from America and Europe advise the fund’s leadership. Members are appointed by invitation only, and their names will be published once confirmed. They advise; the Board decides.
Grants
All grants are made at the sole discretion of Western Civilization Fund, for charitable and educational purposes, with clear milestones. Donors do not direct grants to particular recipients.
