Western Civilization Fund is an independent American charity that identifies, funds, and scales the European founders and institutions renewing our shared civilization: its faith, its families, its freedom, and its sovereign nations.
01The stakes
One civilization, one future.
America and Europe are bound together by more than geography or interest: by a common culture and faith, by ties of family, and by generations of standing together in war and in peace.
Above all, we share one civilizational inheritance. It runs from Jerusalem, Athens, and Rome, through the Christian centuries and the English common law, to the American founding. It taught the world that every person holds rights from the Creator that no government may deny, that power must answer to law, and that free nations govern themselves.
These principles belong to no single continent. They will be defended together on both sides of the Atlantic, or they will be lost on both.
02What is at risk
The foundations are under pressure.
Across Europe, the principles that built the West are being steadily worn away, and the very authorities meant to serve citizens are too often turned against them. The pressures are familiar to every American conservative.
Censorship
Speech codes, online monitoring, and penalties for lawful opinion are narrowing what citizens may say.
Hostility to faith
Christian faith is being pushed to the margins of public life, believers have been arrested for silent prayer, and Europe’s Judeo-Christian heritage is fading from its schools.
Family decline
Marriage and birth rates are falling, and too few young people are taught to love the civilization they inherit.
Lost sovereignty
Mass immigration and EU overreach are weakening secure borders and the right of nations to govern themselves, as power passes to bodies that answer to no voter.
Big government
High taxes, heavy regulation, and a growing state are stifling enterprise, innovation, and investment.
None of this is inevitable. The answer is not to abandon our shared heritage but to renew it, through institutions strong enough to carry it forward.
03The case
Why American support matters.
Europe’s course bears directly on America. A Europe unsure of its own heritage is less able to hold firm against threats from without and decay from within, and speech rules written there increasingly reach American citizens and companies.
American conservatives have built the institutions that sustain a movement: research centers that inform public debate, legal advocates who defend liberty in the courts, independent media, and programs that train future leaders.
Europe’s conservatives are our civilizational allies. They have the conviction, the talent, and a rising generation ready to lead. Too often, they lack the institutions to sustain that work and the early support to build them.
Western Civilization Fund exists to close that gap. As a private, independent charity, we give American donors a disciplined and accountable way to stand with those defending the West in Europe.

We bring the discipline of venture capital to civic life. We find capable founders early, back them with focused grants, and stand behind those who prove themselves as their work grows.

Our work is educational and charitable, and our judgments are our own. We stand apart from party politics and from every government, and we take no part in elections.
People before programs
We back founders of character and conviction who have a clear plan, and we hold them to it.

Five pillars of a free society.
Free speech
The freedom to speak, publish, and debate without fear is a natural right and the first safeguard of every other liberty.
Religious liberty and Judeo-Christian heritage
Western Civilization was built on the Judeo-Christian tradition. We defend the freedom of believers to pray, worship, and live by their faith in public, and the place of that heritage in national life.
Family and the next generation
Strong families are the foundation of a healthy nation. We support the family and the formation of the young, including a new generation of Christian leaders across the continent.
Sovereign nations and secure borders
Free peoples govern themselves. We defend national self-government against EU overreach and every nation’s right to secure its borders and determine its own future.
Free enterprise and prosperity
Prosperity is the work of free people, not of the state. We champion property rights, free markets, low taxes, and light regulation, and we oppose socialism in every form. We stand with the innovators, from industry to technology and digital assets, who create wealth and opportunity.

Early-stage seed grants to founders and new institutions, for charitable and educational purposes. Never parties, candidates, or campaigns.
Independent media and journalism
Newsrooms, publications, podcasts, and video channels that report freely and widen the public debate.
Think tanks and policy institutes
Research institutes that develop serious policy and make the case for it in public life.
Christian and faith-based initiatives
Christian media, schools, and networks of young leaders that strengthen faith and its place in public life.
Culture and metapolitics
Initiatives that shape the culture upstream of politics, from the arts and academia to sports and influential new voices.
Youth and student leadership
Student societies, fellowships, and training programs that form the next generation of leaders.
Legal defense of free speech and religious liberty
